On Saturday, December 20th, The L.E.A.R.N. Foundation hosted its annual Holiday Giving Event, providing winter essentials, food, hygiene supplies, meal bags and toys to families in need. The event was a tremendous success, but the Foundation knew that some community members couldn’t attend—especially those without transportation.
To make sure no one was left behind, the team kept the giving spirit alive by organizing a follow-up event at the local Sunshine Inn on Tuesday, December 23rd. This outreach aimed to reach individuals who were unable to drive to the original event, ensuring they too received the support they needed during the holiday season.
“It was incredible to see how quickly everyone came together to make this happen. We didn’t want anyone to feel forgotten,” said Yarlyn Trinidad, a longtime volunteer.
With the help of dedicated volunteers, The L.E.A.R.N. Foundation quickly pulled the event together. Guests were welcomed with winter essentials, meal bags, hygiene supplies, and small toys, along with a hot meal made from leftovers of the festive nacho bar and delicious cake generously provided by Party on a Dime Catering. In total, about 16 families were served during this special outreach.
“The smiles on the kids’ faces when they got their toys made all the effort worth it. This is what community is all about,” added Jonathan Harden, another volunteer.
This effort shows that for The L.E.A.R.N. Foundation, giving doesn’t end with one event—it’s a continuous mission to serve and uplift the community.
