L.E.A.R.N. Foundation Community Resource Center Serves More Than 600 Visitors in 2026

Since January 2026, the L.E.A.R.N. Foundation’s Community Resource Center has welcomed and served more than 600 visitors, continuing its mission to remove barriers and connect individuals and families with essential support. Through the center, community members have received free clothing, accessories, shoes, hygiene supplies, food, and household items in a wide range of sizes and categories. 

Each month, the Foundation hosted giveaway events with extended hours, opening its doors longer to give more people an opportunity to visit, browse available items, and receive assistance. These events have helped meet everyday needs while also creating a welcoming space where families, seniors, veterans, students, and individuals can find practical resources at no cost. From January through June, visitor totals reflected the growing demand for community-based support: January welcomed 30 visitors, February served 150, March served 168, April served 108, May served 48, and June served 96. Together, these numbers represent more than 600 visits in the first half of the year alone. 

The Foundation considered downsizing to a smaller facility. However, after receiving a surplus of generous donations, the organization is able to keep its doors open and remain in its current location. The Resource Center has been restocked with the donated items and will reopen on Saturday, August 1 from 10AM-2PM. 

The Community Resource Center is located at 168 N. Johnston St., Suite 301, Dallas, GA 30132, across from the Regions Bank parking lot near downtown Dallas. Current hours of operation are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you would like to visit at another time, appointments can be made by text, call, or email at 470-991-5958 or strinidad@learnfoundationinc.org. The L.E.A.R.N. Foundation is deeply grateful for the support, contributions, and service of its donors and volunteers. Their generosity has made it possible to continue providing free resources to the community and to keep the Resource Center available. 

Although the Resource Center has been restocked with many donated items, hygiene supplies and food remain limited. As the L.E.A.R.N. Foundation prepares for its annual holiday giving event, it is seeking new or gently used toys, nonperishable food items such as mashed potatoes, soups, canned sweet potatoes, and other pantry staples, as well as hygiene supplies including lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and feminine products. 

Community members who would like to contribute may drop off items at the Resource Center during regular hours of operation or contact the Foundation by phone or email to coordinate a donation. Financial contributions are also accepted online at learnfoundationinc.org/support or through Cash App at $Learnfoundation2014. Supporters can also help at no extra cost by connecting their Kroger Shopper’s Card to the L.E.A.R.N. Foundation through Kroger’s Community Rewards program. To enroll, log in to your Kroger account, go to Community Rewards, and search for L.E.A.R.N. Foundation, Inc. or organization number HL211. Once your card is linked, eligible purchases made with your Kroger Shopper’s Card will help support the Foundation every time you shop.
