This report highlights the significant achievements, progress, and ongoing challenges faced by veterans within our community over the past few years.

The Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) program serves as a critical bridge for veterans returning to civilian life, equipping them with the necessary skills and resources to succeed academically and professionally. This year’s report reveals a remarkable increase in program enrollment, academic achievements, and enhanced access to resources. Key highlights include:
Increased Enrollment: 603 veterans are currently enrolled in the program, reflecting a growing recognition of the importance of education in achieving long-term success.
College Readiness: 100% of program members indicated they feel fully prepared for college-level coursework, thanks to the comprehensive tutoring and advising services provided.
Community Engagement: Through workshops and outreach events, 861 veterans and their families have been reached, fostering a network of support and empowerment.
"We have sacrificed so much for our country, and it's our duty to ensure that all veterans have the support they need to thrive," said Dr. Lemelle, CEO, Founder, and retired enlisted Air Force Veteran of L.E.A.R.N. Foundation Inc. “This report reflects the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our participants, and the strength of our community partnerships. It underscores the impact of our Veterans Upward Bound program and how we empower military veterans to take control of their educational journeys and highlights our commitment to providing them with the resources they deserve.”

The Veterans Upward Bound program, funded by the U.S. Department of Education, is designed to support veterans in developing the academic and personal skills necessary for success in higher education and beyond. The L.E.A.R.N. Foundation Inc. has proudly administered the program since 2022, serving veterans across Bartow, Floyd, Polk, Paulding, Carroll, Douglas, and Haralson counties.
